    Does it ever rain up there?
    What carved those slot canyons ??
    Must have been water...long time ago

    Average rainfall 10 inches per year. It is desert. Was chilly when I was there. High of 45 F the day we did this. Perfect for hiking or whatever outside. Really have to use the Underarmour and layers. It was all lush, tropical when dinosaurs were there, then underwater (inland sea), then huge rivers, now desert.
