Couldn't resist this. Researchers in Sweden (think long, boring winters) did exhaustive testing. Remarkable scientific achievement to determine that Dung beetles use the Milky Way for navigation. Put a little hat on the beetle so they couldn't see to make sure. Here's the dung beetle with his hat on.
